Holy shit did I fuck myself in the head a few minutes ago. Nothing sinister, but I layed down for a 40 minute nap in the stupid center before going to another class, and woke up almost two hours later. It's been ten minutes, and I'm STILL trying to get my bearings. Hell of a powernap.

Interesting fact: In it's original incarnation, when they where just beginning to develop the ideas, Bungie had intended Halo to be a Real-Time Strategy game. It was changed to be a First Person Shooter during the early stages of development.

Halo has gone back to it's roots. Ensemble Studios, the guys who did the Age of Empires series, are making a Halo Real-Time Strategy, taking place before the first Halo game. Could be cool.

I watched the 52 minute OVA 'Dead Leaves' with my friday night game group... well... friday night. It was the most action packed and fast paced 52 minutes OF MY LIFE. I would say... about 7 minutes of the whole show aren't spent with something dying, in the process of dying, exploding, or being destroyed in some other way. It seemed like barely fifteen minutes had passed by the time it was over.

It was also just plain fucked up in the head, but was absolutely hilarious, in that 'holy shit, I can't believe they just went that far' sort of way.

Watch it. You'll be... something. Amazed may be the wrong word.

Friday the 29th is/was my 22nd birthday. I dare say that I'm drunk right now, and I'm doing my best to spellcheck my work right now, but goddamn if I don't keep mistaking extra letters for where they're not supposed to go. I went out drinking tonight, and goddamn if Tanto didn't get me a Long Island Ice Tea, custom tailored 'cause tom knows I don't like..... Tequila (sp?). Anyways, I'm too fuggin wasted to continue this update, so consider the night of my 22nd a complete success. I'll see most of y'all tomorrow at Jake's party.

Just got back from a successful night of spreading the word. Also got to test out the new PS2 game 'Steel Lancer Arena International' also known as Phantom Crash 2552. It seems pretty interesting.
On another note, I was so hungry when I pulled in that I ate the doggy-box of chips and spinach dip in the fridge. I'm gonna regret that one in a couple hours.

Hmm hmm. I prefer the term 'Mageblade' myself.

So I went on tour with the KSU Men's Chorus sunday. We were out for 4 days, and did 11 performances over that period of time. I have spent far too much of the last 96 hours wearing a tuxedo. The same tuxedo, which now has a half-week's worth of gook built up in it, thinly covered by liberal applications of Febreeze. Needless to say, it needs dry-cleaned. I'm glad to be home.

The following is a disjointed and vaguely connected, if not completely unrelated, observations I've made, or things that I've thought of, or whatever you want to call the crap that goes through my head. You have been warned.

I've noticed that I never went and developed the 'smile' reflex that people seem to have. When I'm walking around on campus or someplace, and I happen to meet someone's gaze for some reason or another, half the time said person will launch a seemingly reflexive friendly smile my way. I never remember to smile back, because I'm busy wondering things like 'Do I know you?' or 'Why is she smiling at me?'. I wonder if it's something that some people just do, or if it's something that you have to teach yourself.

Valentine's Day has now acquired the nickname 'Single Awareness Day', or SAD for short. Chalk that one up to Sara.

My friends Alex and Dan, and I, are firmly convinced that rain is actually a communist plot to take over the world. We came to realize this when some idjit next to us in the Hub started arguing with his friends over what clouds were made of, because he seemed deadset in his belief that clouds were not produced by condensation of water droplets. This led to us determining that because clouds weren't water, and rain seemed to come from the clouds, then rain must be made by the commies. Also, the cuban missile crisis wasn't about nukes, it was instead a way for the communists to take the blood of children and launch it into the skies above America, tainting the rain as it falls, making it Red rain. Also, we don't really breath with our lungs, but instead draw oxygen in through our feet. The communist rain is supposed to soak through our feet to get to us. That, my friends, is why we wear golashes. To keep out the communists. BUT, wearing golashes keeps us from being able to breath right... ...er... Yes.

The game World of Warcraft isn't addicting. I can quit playing any time I want to. On another note, NCSoft is offering free City of Villains beta trial accounts to people who pawn off City of Heroes to their friends, or something like that. I didn't actually read the email.

Sidereal Sifu is going to have me chomping at the bit for the next part of 'Of Things to Come'. I was extremely entertained by the... dialogue, if you could call it that, between Cyclone and Stellar. I also wanna see a hurricane in space, I think that'd be really cool looking.

Dr. Shoop has a very nice philosophy on tests in my Statistics class. The way he sees it, when we're out in the real world doing this stuff, we're not going to need to have everything memorized because we won't get in trouble for using textbooks to make sure we're doing it right, so he's allowing us to bring in all the compiled notes we want to during tests. The only reason he won't let us use the actual textbooks is because it'd take too long to flip between pages and find what we need during the test hour. That, and the desks are really small.

The Kent State Biotechnology Club: 'Never Be Alone. Make Yourself a Clone.'

I might be getting a Kent State Paintball Athletic Organization off the ground within a few weeks. We'd get funding from the Rec Center, storage space for equipment, all kindsa good stuffs.

Saw two Red-Tailed Hawks on tuesday, during the insanely warm day we had. Watched the birds sit in a tree for the better part of 20 minutes, before they finally flew away.

I need a video card. Badly.

Mike Martin has an amazing vocal range. He can cover everything from the high end of first tenor, to the low end of baritone range. And he looks like Jay Leno to boot!

The Kent State Antiwar group was on campus again, bugging people to sign petitions to throw the Military Recruiters off campus permanently, because the military 'Discriminates against gays, because gays can't be themselves if they join.' I got news for you, jackasses. NO ONE can be themselves when they join the military. We do not need a more touchyfeeley military. Camo clothing is green and brown for a reason(pink and purple will stand out), and stuffing flowers down the barrels of the enemies' guns is only going to get you, and your entire squad, killed.

My brain hurts.

Naruto is being licensed in the United States. Thinking about putting stocks into whatever company is doing it.

Worms 3D is coming out on the Xbox, and it's gonna be Xbox Live Capable! HOT DAMN!

Alright. Thats enough of that. I think we're all stupider for having participated in this disasterpiece.
